Just when you think you’ve gotten over an ex and then they come appear around the corner with bright new clothes and a great new look.

That’s how I felt when I saw the new Matte Orange variant from the Yamaha Fazzio 125 line. I couldn’t take my eyes off it.

It made me start to reminisce about all the good things that came along with the Yamaha Fazzio line.

I couldn’t stop thinking about it and wondering where they had their repaint done. Or was it a wrap?

I went to social media to see if there were more pictures of it. And lo and behold, it seems like I missed the news that the Yamaha Fazzio 125 scooter line came out with 2 new colors for their iconic modern classic scooter.

Matte orange and pastel blue.

Now I haven’t a seen a pastel blue yet but I think it looks way better than the cyan color variant.

How Could I Have Missed it?

I’ve been away from Davao for far too long.

In fact, I just arrived 2 days ago after being in Manila for nearly 3 months.

Waaaaay too long to be away from Davao.

While there, I wasn’t really that aware of new advancements in scooters and all that because I was busy with my work as an SEO Specialist.

And yeah I did get to see a few scooters here and there and was also taken aback at the number of Electric Vehicle dealers in Manila but it wasn’t my top priority.

Heck, I wasn’t even able to visit a lot of guitar stores while there and I really wanted to visit the Clifton guitars shop in Cubao that I would always pass by but not have the time to go in.

So yeah, that’s why.

But I’ll make up for it in the next few weeks.

Just you wait and see.

…and Back to Our Regular Yamaha Fazzio 125 Programming

I find it really clever that thee event in Davao back in October 2023 at SM Lanang was titled: Start You-niqueness: Ride to a New Hue.

This Photo was taken by Hazel Nicole Carreon. email her at hazel.carreon@carmudi.com.ph

It was an event I missed that happened before I left for Manila that involved my favorite Yamaha scooter line. Sheesh.

And it was to introduce the new colors: Matte orange and blue pastel. The white one basically looked the same and was still as good looking as it originally was in the first lineup of color variants.

Aside from the new colors, there wasn’t much that they did to the scooter which could be a good or a bad thing.

I mean if it’s not broke, don’t fix it.

Otherwise, you might just screw it up, right?

So, let’s talk about how great the new colors look like.

Let’s start with the pastel blue color variant.

I Think I Just Discovered I Have the Ability to Predict the Future of the Yamaha Fazzio 125

Back in January, I wrote about the Yamaha Fazzio and pointed out how I didn’t like the cyan color variant. I also wrote down that it could benefit from having a little grey thrown into the color mix.

And now here comes the pastel blue color variant.

I used to paint as an alternative occupation back in the day. And the manner that you’d get that color is to mix in some grey to cyan. Exactly how much into the mix, I forget. I didn’t have it down to a science back then because I was usually drunk when I painted.

The new pastel blue color variant for me is better than the cyan one. The cyan color is kind of polarizing int erms of who their target market is. I know it was initially targeted at the young buyers segment but they’ll eventually outgrow that color.

So not really a good idea or option if you’re thinking long term.

Still, this isn’t my favorite color and I’d still pass up on getting a pastel blue color variant Yamaha Fazzio 125 scooter.

Will the matte orange change my mind?

Burn Their Eyes Out with the Matte Orange Color Variant

Okay so I’m back down the Fazzio rabbit hole because of the matte orange color variant. It was vibrant enough to catch my attention and hold it. It even made me want to check out the scooter line again.

As a marketing tool, it worked.

The interest in the Fazzio is back and it seems like after the white, the matte orange is the one that’s quickly flying off the shelves for this scooter line.

If I had the money, I’d buy one too.

But I’d probably have buyer’s remorse in a few days or weeks.

Bear with me… the matte orange color variant is a great conversation starter. And I know a lot of people love orange colored vehicles too. It’s a very polarizing hue that a few appreciate and if used on the right vehicle will immediately make that vehicle stand out.

How do I know this?

Well I used to have an orange Mitsubishi Celeste. Okay, more like the overall color was orange because it was a rust bucket. Despite being an old vehicle, that orange color still made it a nice car that other people would notice.

Or maybe they were just being nice to me…

Anyway, I sold that car after owning it for a couple of years. It was just too run down to keep maintaining.

Back to the matte orange color variant… I like it.

I like it enough to buy it.

But I don’t like it enough to keep it for a long time.

So back to the ivory white color variant.

Why Not Buy the White One?

I’ve been in love with he white color variant, ever since the Fazzio line came out.

So why haven’t I bought one?

Well money’s tight these days especially after that extended stay in Manila and I’m still trying to rebound financially. I’m doing two jobs and managing this website hoping it will get big enough to earn money for me in the future.

But even if I had the money, I still wouldn’t buy the white one.

What?!?

Why?!?

Make no mistake about it, I’m totally in love with the white color variant but I know that it wouldn’t be a good purchase for me.

This is because it would be a purchase generally made based on wants and not needs.

Heck, I might just end up placing the scooter atop a pedestal and end up making it a centerpiece and not ride it for fear of dirtying it up.

It’s just too nice to drive around in and get dirty.

And that’s why I haven’t bought one yet aside from the fact that I don’t have the funds for it.

More Color Variants in the Future?

I know that there are more color variants out there that haven’t reached our shores yet. And I believe there’s a large group of Fazzio enthusiasts who want a black color variant. Me, I’d love a matte black and a grey version of this iconic scooter.

I’ve no doubt that more color variants are going to reach us. The most probably one is the black color variant. It’s just the sensible choice.

I’d also like a pink color variant down the line.

Maybe then I’ll have enough funds to buy one or two of these Fazzios. Like content like this? Comment below or send me an email.
